I've been a power user of zoom for the last few months. I shut down my computer last night and when I logged in this morning, my video wasn't working. So I clicked on the start video button and it said that it couldn't find my camera. I have been using the built in camera on my computer. I've searched for updates, installed them and restarted my computer to no avail.
When I click on the start menu and select camera, it says that we can't find your camera. What do I do? I have a Toshiba and am using windows Was this reply helpful?

What is your current windows version and edition? Press Start then search Settings, select System then About. Some laptops have a privacy switch or a camera shutter key that can be used to turn off your webcam and prevent it from being used. I have a lenova desktop, new. In reply to StevensonScotland's post on July 25, We left a zoom meeting and started another same hour and the camera wasn't available, c'mon microsoft what gives?
Camera Privacy Switch located at the right side of the laptop Thank you, my girlfriends laptop had an unlabeled switch about the size of a grain of rice on the right side of her laptop like you said.
It was switched off. I would have never guessed that to be the reason. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Ts and have been using the free version of zoom without issue for a couple of years. I recently subscribed as I wish to use zoom for business purposes however now when I use zoom others are unable to see me. I have tried the troubleshooting steps offered by zoom and lenova!
A random win10 user. I had the same problem, except my laptop was different. My laptop is a Dell Latitude E My camera on my Toshiba is not coming in its there on the screen and its not responding.
